Mike has proudly called LaGrange home for more than 20 years. Raised in neighboring Beekman, he grew up spending much of his time in LaGrange, playing Town soccer and participating in Cub Scouts Pack 82 and Boy Scout Troop 82. As part of his Eagle Scout service project, Mike helped improve Freedom Park — a place his family has long enjoyed and that reflects his lifelong connection to the community.
Mike is a graduate of Arlington High School and the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. After completing his education, he chose to put down permanent roots in LaGrange, where he has built his career, raised his family, and remained actively involved in the community. His deep local ties, strong work ethic, and commitment to service are what continue to drive his work on behalf of LaGrange residents.
Business Owner
Mike has owned and operated Simply Gourmet, a full-service catering company, since 2008. Based on Route 55 in LaGrange, the business reflects his commitment to supporting local vendors while delivering high-quality food and service to clients throughout the region. Since founding the company, Mike has grown Simply Gourmet into a successful local business that now employs 25 people. As a small business owner, he understands firsthand the challenges facing employers, the importance of responsible budgeting, and the value of creating local jobs. All the experience he brings to his work serving the LaGrange community.

Mike currently serves as the Minority Leader on the Dutchess County Legislature, representing LaGrange. During his time in office, he has worked to protect taxpayers by supporting five consecutive years of county property tax cuts and sponsoring legislation to eliminate sales tax on clothing purchases under $110 — keeping more money in the pockets of hardworking local families. Mike brings a practical, community-first approach to county government, focusing on responsible budgeting and policies that directly benefit LaGrange residents.
